Hellooooo Summer 2008

First weekend of summer and it wouldn't be right if I didn't get out and shoot at least a little.

The All Italian

Met Eric and some other folks and had a look around. It's amazing how so much raw horsepower and history has so little draw for me these days...

Picasaweb has issues with the compression on this image unfortunately

Yummy wide fenders on this Lancia

These Lambo drivers were 'special' and all arrived en mass

Pantera, not just a band you know.

Took a bit of a walk on Saturday night.

Great outing on Nicole's today

Michelle, Dan, Scott and myself rode Nicole's and some other trails on Burnaby Mountain today.

We also got some video.

Here is Scott

And here I am on the same section though on a different line.

We rode that piece at over half a dozen times. It's so flowy and fun!

By the time we rode back up to do Rusty Scooter and North Road Trail we were all pretty bushed... Though Michelle and Scott took it too extremes.

I was just plain happy.

Dan ... hmm I don't know what was up with Dan :)

Great day!

Sunday, June 8

After going biking in the rain and mud of SFU and watching 4 hours of motorcycle racing after, I took a bit of a stroll.

Taking a stroll with a bigger camera

I decided to really test the new camera for a bit, so I walked along some familiar paths.

Can you say "A**hole"?

Little story behind the above photo. I saw this glass elevator at the last second and fired off a couple of shots. The guy inside lost it. He came out and was yelling that I owed him $50. That I was going to make money off his picture. Etc etc.

I stayed cool and basically chuckled at the whole thing. And eventually just put my earphones in after he went off about how I was "no-one... NO-ONE...". So, despite the fact that it's a bad photo, I thought I'd post it. :)

Little ones

Sadly, they lied!

I wonder if that's what I look like :)

And then I ran into Miran

I saw him and then fired off a whole bunch of pictures before he knew who I was. :) That's one of them. I love the expression of the guy in the back who watched the whole thing 'go down'.

Back in (the digital) business

After 3 weeks without, I'm back in the DSLR game. Picked up the new gear last night, spend some time working out the new controls and headed out early, well, early for a Saturday anyway.
