Exteriors of a different sort. These are what I'd actually set out to shoot, but then other things intervened ;)

I like this one, as always it took a bit of time to get in the groove.

Post Snow New West - Part 2
I also ended up shooting a number of 'exteriors'. What I didn't have (which may have helped) was a polarizer. But I was traveling light and that's just how it goes sometimes :)

Post Snow New West - Part 1
The snow didn't stick around long and I got out to try and get some fresh air on Saturday.
I set out to shoot some textures as it was pretty wet still. But I also did something that I hadn't done in some time, shoot some 'street'. I'll break this into a couple of posts and try to group some of the shots.

Snowy Walk
Decided to walk to lunch today instead of risking driving. I grabbed my camera and my 'I don't give a damn' lens (i.e. the Nikon 28-70mm f3.5 - 4.5)

This photo is dedicated to Pete, who's in Brazil and doesn't like the cold... but he'll be back ;)
Be safe out there.

Lunchtime Photography - Iona
Sometimes I grab lunch to go and take a few photos while I'm out. Helps me clear my mind.
Typically the sun and light are exactly wrong for photography, so it takes some thinking and experimentation to get anything worthwhile :)
Nothing great today, just two samples.
Stay warm!

Foggy Riverwalk
We went out on Sunday because the rain held off a bit and the fog was still hanging out.
The fog left a bit early, but it was still good to get out and be dry :)

Faded
Film shots from New Westminster. While much is being rejuvenated a lot of the 'old glory' is certainly showing the wear and tear associated with a lack of upkeep.

Experiments in Black & White
Something a bit different than what I normally do (i.e. more processing)

Riverwalk at dusk
With the time back to "normal", I broke down and went out carrying the tripod :)

What this makes me realize is that I need to get back to shooting at night more. I'm out of practice and you sure can't trust the little display in the back of the camera :)
There are another series of photos, more tuning experiments, that I'll upload in the next little while. Something a bit different for me :)
Have a great night.
